First Space Exhibition in Northern India during International Conferences S2 STEP-2025 and IPSC-2O25 at IIT Roorkee
We recently had the opportunity to participate in the International Conference on Space for Sustainability: Science, Technology, Education and Policy (S2: STEP 2025) and the 6th Indian Planetary Science Conference (IPSC-2025), held from March 4-7, 2025, at IIT Roorkee, Uttarakhand.
The event began with great enthusiasm on the very first day, following the inauguration, as we had the honor of welcoming Dr. V. Narayanan ji, Secretary, Department of Space, Chairman, Space Commission and Chairman, ISRO to our stall. His insightful conversation with our team about our latest innovations truly motivated us and reinforced our commitment to excellence.
We also had the privilege of connecting with some of the brightest minds in the space sector, including Dr. Vinod Kumar, Director of IN-SPACe, Prof. Thomas Schildknecht from the Institute of Astronomy, University of Bern, Switzerland, Dr. Murthy S. Gudipati, Senior Research Scientist at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Prof. Anil Bhardwaj, Director of the Physical Research Laboratory, Dr. Harikrishnan, Director of CBPO at ISRO HQ, Mr. Anil Prakash, Director General of Space Industry Association, along with esteemed representatives from LPSC, URSC, SAC, IN-SPACe, DRDO and more.
At Stall A1, we demonstrated our expertise in vibration testing through two live exhibits:
- The first exhibit showcased a dual shaker system with two 6000 kgf shakers operating in a push-push configuration along the vertical axis. A 100mm-diameter, 4-meter-long solid MS bar was used to simulate the payload, rigidly mounted to both armatures using aluminium fixtures with multiple clamping points. Phase synchronization was achieved using our Phase Control Unit, which leverages high-bandwidth current sensors to generate phase and amplitude feedback—eliminating the need for accelerometers. Unlike MIMO Vibration Controllers, which limit the number of input control channels to the number of active systems, our approach allows the use of a standard Vibration Controller without such restrictions.
- The second exhibit featured our next generation 27kVA power module, operating at 280VDC to drive the armature coil of a tabletop shaker with exceptionally high impedance. By precisely delivering voltage and current, the module generated a stable 1g vibration on the shaker while consuming less than 0.01VA of power—achieving a dynamic range exceeding 90dB, the highest in the industry.
One of the major highlights of the event was a panel discussion, where our Director – Technical, Mr. Arjun Goel, participated and shared his insights on the Development of Robust Space Ecosystem through Education, Skilling, and Capacity Building, alongside other distinguished dignitaries.
The event also featured the Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition in association with SAC-ISRO. It was a fascinating display of launch vehicles and satellite models, and the interactive sessions with ISRO scientists and exhibits captivated students from nearby schools and colleges, giving them a unique glimpse into the future of space technology.
We are pleased to have participated in this prestigious event at IIT Roorkee. It provided a remarkable platform for collaboration within the Indian space sector, and we look forward to continuing our contributions to the nation’s growing space ambitions.
